About Dominion Christian Connections

Dominion Christian Connections is a part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in Peterborough, United Kingdom, since November 2007, and the progress they have made since those humble beginnings serve as a constant reminder that God can use the seemingly insignificant to make a difference.

Their primary pursuit is to raise a people of integrity, purpose, power and excellence that would dominate in every aspect of life with an addiction to the kingdom of God and its principles.

Their passion for the growth and development of the individual is reflected in the vision of the Church and they are committed to making a positive impact in their local and the international community.

Today Dominion Christian Connections is still growing rapidly. They run one family services each Sunday, in addition to services for children and teens.

A candlelit service for the season of Advent.

The Advent Procession
An evening that revolves around music bringing light to the darkness. Advent Antiphons - refrains traditionally sung before and after the Magnificat at Vespers or Evening Prayer on the seven days preceding Christmas Eve - are sung to celebrate the beginning of Advent, the season of preparation before Christmas. They are addressed to God, calling on him to come as teacher and deliverer, with a variety of scriptural titles and images that describe his saving work in Christ.

"A wonderful beginning to the season of Advent, filled with uplifting music and inspiring words."

All are welcome.

City Centre Christmas Alive event - 9th December
Christmas Alive
Christmas is nearly here and on Saturday December 9th, between 11:30 - 1:30 pm the Churches Together in Central Peterborough will be in Cathedral Square encouraging the public to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.

We will be Carol singing, giving out balloons, Christmas tracts & invitation flyers to the public. The Flyers will advertise a Christmas event from each of the Churches that are part of CTiCP.

One Way Puppets will be back to join us again; last year many people stopped to hear the Christmas message given through the puppets and also stopped to take balloons and chocolates.

We have a great opportunity to chat to people about the real meaning of Christmas, to witness and personally invite people to join us for our Christmas celebrations. It's an opportunity for the public to meet the local Church and see that the church is alive and well.

If you're free on this day, why not come and join us!

The Military Wives - Home For Christmas
Christmas is all about spending quality time with family and friends, yet this can be particularly tough for serving families when loved ones are away, unable to be together over the festive season.

Military Wives Choirs are more than just a place to sing – they enable women in the military community to come together to sing, share and support one another and often become a second family that women can depend on.

The Home for Christmas tour celebrates the Military Wives Choirs family, bringing ladies from across our choirs together at this special time of year to stand stronger together and express themselves through song.

Rock legend Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull will be performing The Christmas Jethro Tull concert at Peterborough Cathedral.

Ian Anderson with The Christmas Jethro Tull
With much good humour and good cheer, Ian Anderson and his band will perform some of the more festive numbers from the prodigious Jethro Tull back catalogue, alongside other Christmas music and readings. There is also the promise of the odd surprise guest joining the line-up on the evening and members of Peterborough Cathedral Choir will be making an appearance too.

Ian Anderson is famed as the man who brought the flute to rock music. He maintains a busy touring schedule, often ending the year with yuletide concerts in cathedrals and churches. The self-professed non-believer nonetheless claims a huge affinity for the deeds and traditions of Christianity and this is his way of showing his support.

He says: "The bringing together of people of all backgrounds, cultures and faiths in this way is possible, perhaps, only under the auspices of modern Christianity, especially the Anglican Church. So, if I can help to draw people in to these beautiful and historic buildings to savour just a little of the spirit of Christmas, it seems like a worthwhile effort."

Jethro Tull was formed in 1968 and, with frontman Ian Anderson, has released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies worldwide.
