Launch of 1st 'CAP' Job Club in Peterborough

It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of Job Clubs run by Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in Peterborough.

When: Friday 3rd March for 8 weeks

Where: Oundle Road Baptist Church, Oundle road, PE2 9PE

Time: 10.30am - 2pm (lunch provided)

CAP Job Clubs provide a friendly environment where jobseekers receive practical help and gain the tools they need to find work.

Christians Against Poverty currently run 163 job clubs across the country. Job Clubs provide jobseekers the chance to meet other people in a similar situation, whilst receiving practical and tailored support through one-to-one coaching during our eight sessions. As it stands one in four people who have attended a CAP Job Club have found employment.

We have many remarkable stories of members who have found employment through CAP Job Clubs. Kim, a CAP Job Club member said “Before CAP, I had been unemployed since 2006 and didn't have much confidence. I was scared stiff going to the club but they made me feel really welcome. I go every week and they are now like my family - I really love it!”

All of CAP's services are completely free and available to all, regardless of faith, age, gender, race, disability or sexual orientation.

We believe that the service we offer will allow jobseekers to gain invaluable skills, become part of a supporting community as well as increasing their chances of employment.

If you would like to discuss our service further and find out how to refer to us, please contact Ken Pullen on 0800 328 0006 or email
