Summer Recital: Alasdair Cameron, piano

The Nave Crossing, Peterborough Cathedral

Wednesday 23 August 2017 13:00 - 13:50

The expressive and melodic music of Granados and Schubert is the choice of our distinguished pianist for today's lunchtime recital.

Summer Recital: Alasdair Cameron, piano

Alasdair Cameron is acclaimed as a pianist of considerable virtuosity and artistry with subtle tone-colouring and a profound interpretative insight into the composer’s intentions. After studying in Glasgow and with Louis Kentner and Joyce Hatto in London and making his Purcell Room debut he spent the next fourteen years performing and teaching in Rome, Frankfurt and Salzburg. Now back in Scotland, he continues to teach and perform in the UK and abroad, both as a soloist and partner to singers.

In his recital he will be playing the expressive and melodic music of Granados and Schubert.

The recital is free of charge and everyone is welcome. Donations will be invited towards costs.

This event is part of the 21st June to 6th September Summer Recital series on Wednesdays at 1.00pm.
