Summer Recital: Katie Schofield and Andrew Reid

The Nave Crossing, Peterborough Cathedral

Wednesday 12 July 2017 13:00 - 13:50

Two familiar faces return to perform in our series of free Wednesday lunchtime recitals: Katie Schofield, mezzo-soprano and former Cathedral Lay Clerk, and Andrew Reid, former Director of Music at the Cathedral.

Summer Recital: Katie Schofield and Andrew Reid

Katie studied law at Cambridge University before turning to a life of itinerant singing. She sings with groups including Tenebrae, BBC Singers, Monteverdi Choir, Polyphony, Cardinall’s Musick, Tallis Scholars, Dunedin Consort and Stile Antico. She spent three years as a Lay Clerk in the choir of Peterborough Cathedral.

Andrew Reid was Director of Music at Peterborough Cathedral for eight years before leaving in 2012 to become Director of the Royal School of Church Music. He will shortly be joining Harrison and Harrison organ builders as their Managing Director.

The recital is free of charge and everyone is welcome. Donations will be invited towards costs.

This event is part of the 21st June to 6th September Summer Recital series on Wednesdays at 1.00pm.
